The Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski
Archbishop of Miami

Archbishop Wenski, born in West Palm Beach on October 18, 1950 grew up in Lake Worth, Florida where he attended Catholic school at his home parish, Sacred Heart. He studied at St. John Vianney Minor Seminary in Miami and later at St. Vincent de Paul Major Seminary in Boynton Beach and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami on May 15, 1976. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy (1972) and a Master of Divinity (1975) from the Boynton Beach Seminary and in 1993 a Master of Arts in Sociology from Fordham University in New York. He has also taken summer courses at the Catholic University of Lublin (Poland).  Learn More about Archbishop Wenski.

Very Reverend Christopher B. Marino, VF

Father Marino was born July 27, 1967, in Flushing, N.Y. His family later moved to South Florida, and in 1985 he graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory (now Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory) in Hollywood. After his freshman year at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., he was accepted as a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Miami. He studied at St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami and St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, and was ordained April 16, 1993. Reverend Reynold Brevil

Father Reynold Brevil was born on January 6, 1981. He was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 2014, he came to the United States after having spent 10 years with the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, commonly known as the Redemptorists. He was accepted as a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Miami and studied at St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami and St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach. He was ordained May 11, 2019 and assigned as the parochial vicar here at the Cathedral of St. Mary.

Fr. Matthew Gomez

Father Matthew Gomez was born in Hialeah, FL in September 1990. He is a product of Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Miami having graduated from Immaculate Conception in 2005 and Msgr. Edward Pace High School in 2009. After one year at St. Thomas University, Fr. Matthew transferred to St. John Vianney College Seminary to discern the Lord’s call to the Priesthood. Having graduated from both St. John Vianney in Miami and St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Miami on May 12, 2018. On July 1, 2020 Archbishop Wenski assigned him to be the Vocations Director with residence at the Cathedral of St. Mary. Please pray for him, for the seminarians discerning God’s will for their lives, and also for those who are considering a vocation to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ.

Fr. Oswaldo Agudelo

Father Oswaldo Agudelo was a native of El Carmen de Atrato in Colombia and the second of three siblings. He studied art in Barcelona, Spain, and mass communications in Colombia. He is a certified expert on Old Masters paintings, and he worked in television for 25 years. At a moment in time, the Lord called him away from his old way of life. He finds it a miracle that the Lord let him be one of His priests, that someone like him could be called to the priesthood. During an interview in the days before his ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Agudelo shared, “I want to be a priest. That’s it. And pray for us, because without your prayers our vocations fall.” He was ordained to the priesthood on May 13, 2017.

Deacon Sergio Rodicio

Deacon Rodicio was born and raised in Miami and is married to Lenore. They have five children. He is a graduate of Miami Dade College, Florida International University and St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary and is a Certified Public Accountant. He was ordained a deacon by the Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski on December 16, 2017. He serves as the Cathedral’s Business Operations Manager.
